It is that time of the year, where we look at the next.

Some of you already answer about the Goals in Rami Kaibni initiated discussion "Project Management Goals 2018" https://www.projectmanagement.com/discussi...ment-Goals-2018

You may have already made goals for 2018, your still have not finalize that part. I have not finalise mine for next year. I'm considering adding one certification, still to decide the one!

What was the process to set those goals/Resolutions? Was it well structure, like Mayte Mata-Sivera show in here Blog at https://www.projectmanagement.com/blog-pos...-process-groups

Do you have a detail Executing process?

Is it too early? let's wait for mid December!

I admit that my 2018 goal planning is just starting. I will set my vision for the year, determine appropriate goals, and develop action plans for each goal.

My Executing process for my goals:

1) Get IEng status with ICE - Apply; study for the Professional review interview; pass the interview !

2) Enter into a more global work force - apply via online job boards
OR
Get a Promotion - Continue to offer valuable work, when my contract comes to an end apply for an elevated position

3) Be more involved in communities such as this - Carve out time at least once a week to visit and participate in online conversations

I do have an idea of the more detailed steps involved but the fleshing out will be happening over the next month.

Yes, 2018 is the beginning of a new phase in my (professional?) life. I will have to take that into consideration in my planning.

Agile has become important in my company. I don't have any plans for certification at this time only to increase my understanding. However, we offer an internal Agile Certification that I will pursue. I will look for project opportunities that will help facilitate my learning.
