Who is responsible for maintaining the integrity of questions within the PM Challenge? It seems there are questions that are outright wrong or inconsistent with the terminology in the PMBOk Guide.

For example, a question in the PM challenge asks:

The ___ provides detailed descriptions of the components of the WBS, including the work packages and control accounts.
a. product backlog
b. user stories
c. work package dictionary
d. none of the above

Actual answer which is not listed is the WBS Dictionary. If this leads you to believe the correct answer is ‘none of the above’ that would have been my choice as well. The PM challenge says the correct answer is ‘work package dictionary’. I do not see how ‘work package dictionary’ is the correct choice as there is no reference for this term anywhere in the PMBOK Guide. How many other questions are there like this in the PM Challenge? Who is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our PM Challenge database?

I think it's a good idea to take the screen shot and send to the attention of the support.

If you’re suggesting that ‘none of the above’ would be correct, that’s not the correct answer according to the PM Challenge.
I see. I misunderstood and was also a bit confused : )

The questions should be held to a higher standard regardless of their intent; exam prep or fun.

The same is true for many of the PMP questions we see posted online. The best answer might not be given to you so you choose the next best. I do not like this practice but this is part of the gamification of the PMP, unfortunately.

In this case, the WBS dictionary includes info about ALL WBS elements including the work packages. So, technically this is correct although the WBS dictionary includes info about the higher level elements as well.

Kiron,
I understand and that makes sense. Should we as a community ask for better and hold ourselves to a higher standard (rhetorical question)?

Alex
I think what we could do is ask members to note down the specific questions which they believe are incorrect in a separate thread and once there is some critical mass of incorrect questions (5-10?) to pass those along to the appropriate contact person...

There are other discussions that have been created to capture incorrect PMChallenge. (Yes, there is more than one.)

This community already has a Wiki section. Why not make the PMChallenge questions something that can also be maintained by the community members?
