Has anyone used a hybrid approach to Agile Project Management and standard Project Management?

I would like to know more about implementing Agile Project Management in a manufacturing environment for NPD where traditional Project Management is currently being used. Saving Changes...
1. Transforming delivery practices from traditional to agile is a true organization change so follow Kotter, ADKAR or some other good model for effective change management.
2. Agile starts with mindset, not with tools, practices or methodologies. If the leadership team, mid-level management & front-line staff are unwilling to embrace agile values & principles, you won't get the benefits you are hoping for.
3. Invest in education & coaching, starting with the leadership team to increase the likelihood that the behavioral changes commence and to defuse any myths or unrealistic expectations they might have.
4. Remember that most agile methodologies are geared towards software development so you will need to adapt them (in whole or in part) to fit a different domain.

What I will write as follow is not a concern, just to clarify. Agile something does not exists. Agile project management does not exists. In fact you will not find any reference to that inside the new PMBOK. What exists is project management combined with quality based practice like Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Agile is not a method or methodology and did not started with the Manifesto. You have to take into account that you have to select your project life cycle model (predictive or adaptive), your project life cycle process based on that models (waterfall, V, Spiral, etc) and then, if you want, a method based on that life cycle process. So, you can apply Agile practices using predictive-waterfall life cycle model-process. Saving Changes...
