How to cope with a question during interview for international position which is related to one's privacy but the recruiter insists to know response. The question is, " how will you cope with situation in which one of your co-worker approach you to have sexual affair with him/ her? If in case he/she is your room mate, and if that person is same gender, what would you do?
I have discussed the topic with some colleagues here, but i didnt get satisfactory answer from anyone yet. I seek your apology, if i offend someone by asking this question, but i have no other plateform to get equipped with this type of interviewers question because i am in the process for international position with one organization. I am married and loyal to my relationship as well as i have values in which i cannot cross some limits, but i want professional way to respond such that i NOT lose the opportunity and NOT cross my limits. Thank You

In different cultures and circumstances there are different values and norms, especially concerning sexual preferences. How to deal with that, it is a personal decision and I am not sure if anyone can advise you properly.

Only in situations where a country might have laws or rules to prevent these types of questions you can refuse legally and let the interviewer knows that. Other than that - it is your choice and moral values.

In other words, your morals should be the foundation for your answer.

I agree with Mounir. Your answer to such questions could be based on a "I'm flattered, but not interested" approach.
