How do I transfer reading a book about PM into PDUs?
Is it per hour spent reading 1 PDU?

You could probably skip nearly all of them and just read Northouse 2015 - "Introduction to Leadership" which in my view is the best of them all.

Sorry Ivan, I should have also mentioned the books I was referring to, not just the author.

Gordon 2007 - The Power of Positive Leadership
Yuki 2012 - Leadership in Organizations
Adair 2006 - Leadership and Motivation
Bolden et al 2003 - A review of Leadership Theory and Competencies, Rothwell 2010 - Effective Succession Planning
Drucker 2001 - The Essential Drucker
Northouse 2015 - Introduction to Leadership
House 1996 - Path Goal Theory of Leadership
Spector 2016 - Discourse on Leadership: A critical Appraisal
Goleman 2009 - Emotional Intelligence,
Collins 2001 - Good to Great
Cashman 2008 - Leadership from the inside out

And I should probably add:

Sinek 2009 - Start with the Why
Malandro 2009 - Fearless Leadership
Thanks Sante for the comprehensive list. One of the most exciting books I’ve read during my time at university was The evolution of cooperation by Axelrod. An interdisciplinary approach on the strategies of cooperation. Please read it, you won’t regret it.

There should be more PDUs for 3 years full-time work as a PM, or there may be some rationalization. Any comments

Mansoor, I totally agree. It's either that or lesson the PDU's for watching a webinar or reading a book for 1 hour. I have said previously that 8 PDU's working full-time as a PM for three year does not equate to reading a book for one hour and getting 1 PDU.

Mansoor, Sante, you are right - experience from daily work as PM is in my opinion the most valuable contribution for recertification ... but education using the different approaches to keep up-to-date is also necessary. Weighting both contributions can be avoided if there is a requirement to provide a minimum number of PDUs from daily work as PM, otherwise the scales should be adjusted.

If they weighted it evenly then reading a book for 1 hour would be like 0.01 of a PDU or something, and I don't think they will do that, and it would useless anyway. I don't know the solution, but certainly raining the 8 PDU's for 3 years full time work should be a serious option.
