According to the PMBOK, "approved change requests" are implemented through the Direct and Manage PW process. As it is also an input to both Control Quality & Control Procurements process - is it for controlling only or for both controlling and implementation?

Mahabubur,

A change request would change the control of quality, something is different from the original project. Procurement can also be affected by change.

A change request would change the original process of quality and procurement already planned after approval from CCB changes to original will be implemented

It would need to feed through Direct and Manage Project Work so that it can be implemented by the team/resources. It would need to feed into control procurement as changes may have been made to things such as contracts or resources supporting contracts. It would need to feed though Control Quality to verify the work was indeed done in Direct and Manage Project Work, and it aligns with performance baselines.

Control Quality is about to take the deliverable and perform a validation. You need the change request to validate is changes have been made. Control Procurement is about to control all related to the contract. Is like you perform Control Quality where the deliverable is the contract itself. You need the change request related to contract to validate is the changes have been made.
