I´m trying to explain my client what differences are between contract me as a part time PM versus a full time assignment, but I'm having no arguments for this. Do you?

In my opinion there is nothing called part time project managers, since PM should and will be 100% responsible for project execution. If your arugment is to oversee the project execution then we might say that PM effort will be some % effort but still PM will be sole responsbile for success or failure of the project.

Bernardo, I fully agree with Anand. As a project manager you will be fully responsible of the success of the project. So, unless you have enough certainity that the project will succeed with a part time PM then the recommendation and "Best Practice" will be to be dedicated to the project as a full time assignation.

Here's my $0.02: If the duration of the job is less than 24 months then hiring someone on a contract basis makes more sense. On the other hand, if the project at hand is greater than 24 months then you may want to look for a PM on a perm basis. Corporations often use 24 months duration criteria as justification for hiring contractor and perm PMs. There may be other factors that impact this decision such as headcount, long-term outlook, and immediate business need.
