I work at a small web development company (3 team members) and we are looking to implement project management software. Can anyone give recommendations? I have been looking around at the various options and I am quite overwhelmed at the moment. I require the following:
- ability to handle multiple projects easily. Ability to see an overview of all projects.
- ability to schedule tasks automatically based on resource availability across all projects (as tasks often change).
- tasks to be flagged and highlighted if overdue.
- each team member to be able to see exactly what they need to work on on a particular day.
- ideally we would like a web based solution as we all work from home and need instant access to all information.
- as I manage all the projects I need to see a quick overview of them all.
Any recommendations would be most appreciated! Saving Changes...
I am with SharedPlan Software (www.sharedplan.com), and we're working to create collaborative software for project teams. Today (Aug 2), we announced the free availability of SharedPlan OpenPlanning, consisting of:
1. A simple, elegant project management application.
2. An online repository for project plans (www.sharedplan.net).
3. A forum for discussing projects (www.sharedplan.org).
We also have more premium, full-featured tools available. Feel free to check them out. If you'd like to learn more, please contact me directly ([email protected]) to discuss.

Cara,
If you are in web development, use MS Project and post to a website that only the three of you can access.
With only three of you, that should work. You can also use the site to post your documentation. Saving Changes...
