There are other options as well in the Agile family. You can go for a Scrum Master certification as well, or possibly Product Owner. Depends on your career path and aspirations.
Good luck! Please do keep us informed of your decision and progress. Saving Changes...

Hi Melloney,
While working towards your PMI-ACP, you may want to look into Scrum certification through the Scrum Alliance at https://www.scrumalliance.org/. These agile certifications are recognized by many industries and are worth acquiring and are a great accompaniment to your PMP and can serve as stepping stones to accruing the hours and experience needed to earn your PMI-ACP. Information about the various certifications offered by the Scrum Alliance is available at https://www.scrumalliance.org/certifications/certifications2017 Saving Changes...
It depends on what credential you are pursuing. For example, if you wanted to get one of the Disciplined Agile certifications, then I'd be recommending Scott Ambler & Mark Lines book on Disciplined Agile.
If it's the ACP, then I'd suggest Andy Crowe's book on passing the exam on your first try plus the new Agile Practice Guide from PMI.
