RACI: Delegation of Accountability?

I'm getting a RACI done for a project.

I'm having trouble deciding for those 3 peoples:
- Executive [A]
- Director [A]
- Project Manager [R]

The executive has delegated all project responsibilities to the director, however I'm not confortable having 2 people accountable [A].

How would you record/dpcument this?

Executive in this case should then be Consulted [C] . The Director then is Accountable [A] and can consult with Executive whenever they want before making decisions

Move away from sticking to the book definition of RACI

1) I the executive delegated the responsibility and authority to the director, then the executive will be informed of results.

2) If the executive is only delegating some of the responsibility/authority, then the A will be with the executive and Director will need a new abbreviation, maybe Ac (Acknowledge) or E (Endorse)

Responsible (R) is "the doer" while Accountable (A) is the person who must answer for activity status. BUT remember: you can modify the matrix as you want adding or deleting letters.

It has to do with how you define them in your project. However, I am agree with Deepesh.

It has to do with how you define them in your project. However, I am agree with Deepesh.
Sometimes, the definitions are done outside of your project. A good example: financial approvals.
