I can't point you to anyone involved with leading megaprojects, but the current issue of PM Journal (December/January) is dedicated to articles on megaprojects, and I'd suspect you'd likely get some good contacts from the bibliography of those articles. Bent Flyvbjerg's name is frequently referenced whenever megaprojects are mentioned - you might want to see if he's willing to share such details based on the research he's done into the topic...
