I have failed on the pmp exam.

Should I wait to Version 6 to study new material or should I try once again with v5.

What are your advices ?

thanks

Do your own SWOT analysis, don't lose the opportunity of writing the exam based on the 5th edition. You still have time avail it.
Read the book again, repeat the course, do more mock exam,
Good luck

Hi Stephanie, sorry to hear of your experience. Having experienced this myself, I would recommend reviewing your test results, do an overview and try again with V5. My second exam was nothing compared to my first exam, remember the test is random questions and you have the knowledge to complete V5.

Do not be disheartened, use this as a learning to bridge the knowledge gaps (recommend using the exam analysis report) . May be you are anxious and not reading the questions in a calm manner, try a few more practice tests and attempt the 5th ed again, repeat several mock exams and read the questions twice before answering. Some times questions may be negative asking for 'not' the right answer. Share the good news when you pass.! Good luck.!

Stéphane, consider your first attempt as a training, analyze your results, use online tests and attempt the V5 once again: you already know what it is, and you avoid to wait some months for something new that you will have to discover/master.

I do agree with Mansour Mustafa. RMC method is based on a skill gap analysis. Check your weakest points and improve. If you can choose the v5 I think you would rather do it. I wish you success !

Sorry to hear about your difficulties on your first attempt. Like everyone else, I agree you should try again with the 5th edition. Good Luck!

Stéphane,
Failure is the stepping stone to success. You should try again instead of going for version 6, so look at the exam analysis report and identify where you scored less and try to overcome them in you next attempt.

Try to attempt as many mock exams as possible and work hard on areas where you are weak.

All the best and good luck for your next attempt.

Take v5 again.

Try again with V5. Since V6 varies quite significantly from V5, I would suggest you try with V5, but definitely, do your homework by analyzing where the gaps are and prepare better in those areas. Don't worry about the repeat, your time and effort are well invested if you focus on your re-take.

All the very best!!

It depends on how bad your score was

In theory, it is best to continue with the 5th edition since you already studied this version and you still have three months - plenty of time

Once you make this decision, I am sure you can follow many of the good advices here
