I've been working with a project "portfolio" file in MS Project (where each project is a task with resources assigned), linked to a separate .mpp file which serves as our resource pool. There are no tasks established in the resource pool, but the pool's Resource Usage view reflects the hours established in the portfolio file.
In trying to establish Baseline Work hours in the portfolio file, I've run into a problem with the resource pool file "overwriting" the portfolio file. Fore example, I entered a task in the portfolio file, assigned resources and set the baseline. Baseline Work hours were displayed in the portfolio, but when I saved, closed and reopened the portfolio file (which automatically launches the resource pool), the Baseline Work hours were no longer there.
Has anyone ever run into this problem? Saving Changes...
