Hi, would just like to ask if how many PDUs do I earn in reading the book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey? Does it depend on how many hours that I will spend on reading and understanding the book? How do I map it on to the PMI Talent Triangle? Thanks for the help.

From my point of view it depends upon number of hours you read. For 1 hour you will earn 1 PDU and so on.

Agreed with Mansoor one PDU for one Hour but then you have to determine how many for technical, strategic or leadership You might go like 0.5 + 0.5 =1PDU depends on the related book you read.

It will also depend on how the book's contents map to the talent triangle as Riyadh eludes to. Have you looked at the CCS Handbook?

Every hour you spend on reading a PM related article or book you can report it as 1PDU.

Still can't wrap my head around 1 hour reading = 1 PDU. I'm a slow reader ;-)

I had the same thought! I am actually listening to a book now so that is easy to figure out the 1 hr = 1 PDU calculation.

The question is does each hour of reading equate to one hour of learning. :)

Either way, there is a cap on what you can submit for reading PDU's.

I've read whole books and learned very little lol. I do submit some webinars for PDU's but still won't submit reading hours as PDU's, because I think it devalues the 8 PDU limit on 2 years work experience. That's my little obscure protest.
