We all know that without a full acceptance of the teamwork to the project, its principles and goals and the means defined to achieve them, the only outcome to any project whatsoever is fiasco. How to deal with team members to make them adhere to the project? Saving Changes...

Make them part of the process. If you give the team the goals and discuss with them the best way to achieve the goals it will give them a sense of ownership. You will not need to "make" them adhere to the project, they will "want" to adhere to the project and do what it will take to make it a success.
There are several ways noted in PMBOK on how to find a way to motivate team members. Motivated teams are more likely to make projects succeed.

One thing that is an advantage for Argentinian people like me is that we started playing futbol (football) from five years old being part of a team or at least to a group that tried to behave as a team as far as it could be possible at that age. Some Argentinians made the same playing other sports like rugby, basket ball, etc (in fact, most of us have the opportunity to play more than one sport). That gives to us the possibility to understand what does mean a team, a group, to be aligned with an objective, and how you can contribute to achieve the objective no matter you are not fully aligned. You have to understand that your project team or project group are project stakeholders either then you have to perform project stakeholder management with them. You have to convince to everybody that they will be more rich working for the project that without working on it where the challenge is to understand that rich does not mean more money only and it depends on each project stakeholder. Is not about adhere or not. Is about they are willing to achieve the objective. Saving Changes...
Take the time to understand what your team members are interested in (ideally what their calling or purpose is) and then find a way to connect the project's outcomes to their individual goals.
Also, as said before, let them take ownership for their work practices and what work items they will do vs. you prescribing those.

Happy new year to you also Kiron.Wonderful reflection: make the project meet the individual goals of the team members.
You need to understand a little about psychology, and human motivation. Know what motivates someone (or a team), and you will know how to get them on board.

You need to involve team members in planning and decision making processes, I'm sure, this will help to ensure that they are motivated to follow through on the outcomes that they have helped to shape.
