We all know that seminarsworlds with their expensive costs in terms of hotel and conference location aren't unaffordable for most project managers. So, at the era of Cloud computing in a world more and more digitized combined with the lack of time due the diversity of products and solutions to manage, what is the future of seminarsworld several miles far from our location?

Cheikh, Good Point - I think seminars world won't be affected much as many likes in-person face to face interaction.

Just curious, how did you come to the conclusion that the costs for the conferences aren't UNaffordable for most PM's ?

Hi Rami
My company will not pay for me to attend seminars world anywhere in the US . I will have to foot my own Bill . Hence Expensive
Will be the same for you if Seminars world were held in Australia and you would like to attend.
I agree with Cheikh , virtual would serve everyone best plus helps in minimizing the cost significantly . I would prefer it to be a couple of Hundred dollars rather than 5-6 thousand dollars to take a transatlantic flight.

I agree with Rami on this.

Seminars are still good, because it gives you networking opportunity and also exposure to a topic of interest through presentations and discussions led by multiple experts.

Cheikh,
Everyone has a different learning style. Some like and enjoy online learning and for some it is classroom style. PMI provides both and is testing online conferences at no cost right now.
As technology matures and becomes inexpensive in future, we might be able to see more trend of online conferences where Video conferencing style is available and you can interact more with the presenter.
For others they would still like face to face interaction and networking as well as time away from work where they can focus and dedicate to learning.

I am not sure about the cost but ease and availability of time to attend seminars could be a reason for attending them online.
