Good Afternoon,

Does anyone have any recommendations on what project management software would be good for a government agency? Any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

John Alley

I don't know about the specifics for a government agency, but I like dotproject, located at www.dotproject.net (or click here) It's open source, and there's a demo on their website you can check out.

It kind of depends on what you are looking for...

If you are looking for low or no cost software, I have a few of them listed in my blog. There's always the gantthead Tools Directory. Also, Projects @ Work has a really fantastic free PPM Software Selection Tool if you are interested in software to help you manage your portfolio.

I recommend trying 5pm (www.5pmweb.com). It has an online demo and a one step instant registration.

You may also want to take a look at our product, Onepoint Project (http://www.onepoint-project.com). There is an open source version and a commercial version (providing more features and professional support).

We know that the Open Edition is used by several government organizations in Europe.
