I'm thinking about writing the PMI-ACP exam. For those who wrote it, could you offer your experiences, what you used to study and where I can find practice materials for the exam?
Salvatore, I can share a few pointers on ACP Exam but you need to put in a lot of effort as you have less time to appear if you wish to follow Guide to PMBOK 5th edition, since exam is changing to 6th edition on 26 Mar 2018.
- For ACP exam Mike Griffiths book on ACP Exam prep is an ideal source.
- There are number of sources on net for practice questions, do attempt as many as you can.
- Questions are all going to be scenario based.
- Since you have written PMP exam so you must be having a fair idea that time flies during exam, so be mindful of time spent on each question.
- Reading Agile Practice Guide also helps in clearing concepts about Agile.
Good Luck for the exam. Saving Changes...

I used a course by simplilearn to prep 2 weeks before the exam but in hindsight I found very little of the material covered in the actual exam. So if I had to be honest I probably only used experience. But the upside of the course was that I did actually get to claim PDU's ;)
If you are an experienced PM and are working in an agile environment then you won't need any prep courses but that is just my experience. Saving Changes...
It really depends on your current level of knowledge and hands-on experience with agile. You do need to have a very good handle on the values and principles of the Manifesto as there are a number of scenario questions which will test that knowledge, and you should understand the basics of Scrum, XP and Lean, but it certainly will not require the level of effort to prepare as the PMP.
When I was preparing for it in the middle of 2017, I just used Andy Crowe's Pass the PMI-ACP book.

I did an online class from LearnSmart. Bought the Pass the PMI-ACP book by Andy Crowe and went through that. Took several practice tests.
I think that besides the Manifesto the most important thing I kept in mind was the roles in Agile. What does the Product Owner do versus the Scrum Master versus the Team. This will carry you through all of the scenario questions.
It is not the same as the PMP. There were really none of the "trick questions". It was more straight forward. Saving Changes...
Here is a list of books that you can refer to pass the PMI-ACP exam. Also, you can attend bootcamp that will help you to pass the exam on the first attempt. Saving Changes...
