Absolutely not ;-) I came across this invented acronym and found it worth sharing. But this brings the question: who decides on when a series of words can become an acronym? For instance, one could say that Laughing out Loud falls in the same category as FUBAR.
"FUBAR" had a slightly more colorful meaning when I first learned it. As did "SNAFU." Both of those acronyms seem to have become commonplace in business, government, and broadcasting. You're right, though, I wouldn't personally use it in official correspondence.

Specifically in the project management realm, though, RBS is a risk breakdown structure, correct? I understand it has other meanings, but that's true of most acronyms. For example, someone mentioned RAM, which in PM context is a responsibility assignment matrix. In an IT context, it's random access memory.
And for some reason, the discussion around RBS makes me think of ROUS, but I don't believe they exist.

I don't think the young IT folks even use RAM anymore, let alone know what is stands for!

"RAM" (IT) still gets tossed around a lot, especially with the old folks like me. It's become synonymous with any type of temporary memory, the way "Band-Aid" is used to describe any type of adhesive bandage.
I wonder how often "RAM" (PM) is used. We recently went through the exercise to create a RAM because we needed to resolve some communications issues with the team, but everyone called it a RACI (RACI being a specific type of RAM). I'm not sure how many people would know when I meant if I said we needed to build a RAM.
