I have been a digital project manager for quite sometime and I like to work from home. I use software to manage all my projects and utilize Skype for meetings. Why are many project teams and leaders using all of these paper based templates? I've been in project management for years and I've never used templates before.

I had the same experience s Kiron. Also, too many organizations tend to adapt to commercial tools and before you know it, the tool is ruling the project with too much unnecessary information. Discussions then tend to be about the information and not the impact on the goals of the project. Relevant less is more!

Any matured product-based organizations would own a workflow based EPM. This means the journey from the project initiation to project closure remains seamless.

Service-based organizations shall be facing the challenge; though debatable on various parameters. Integrating the methodologies between the service provider and the client has always been a challenge.

As value flows from order to cash, the service provider/client would take a strategic move to implement the digital experience. There are multiple other cases involved.

As long as the Project Managers or the fraternity involved in that organization show value, the management would not consider moving to a digital environment.

At times, it the insights from the Sales and Finance that shall drive the Delivery.
