This is as odd a question as the one you'd asked about accommodations.
Individual beliefs can certainly introduce biases into interpersonal relationships, and religious holidays or ceremonies might require adjusting the calendars for individual team members or the team as a whole.
I'd be interested in understanding the "why" behind your question...
I'm with Kiron, this is another odd question... Saving Changes...

Interesting question... Religion can introduce preferences and biases into the project development that affect nearly every aspect of the project, in particular: contract negotiations, vendor selection, scope development and human resource management. Religion has much the same impact as culture upon a project. Saving Changes...

Interesting question- as mentioned by the others, i'm eager to know the "why" or background to this question so we can have a focused discussion

How does religion impact project management? Interesting Question. But not irrelevant. I work in a multi-cultural environment and I would like to share my experience on that subject.
Well, religion does have an impact on our Project Management activities. Not directly, but rather indirectly. How? Principally, in following ways I have experienced:
(1) Let's say you have a team, consisting of several members who all (or a very percentage of them) follow a common religious faith. There is a high probability that during festive season for that religion, team attendance is low and hence, you need to account that aspect in your resource calendar, thereby impacting project schedule.
To counter that, we would need to hire people with different religious background which would ensure holiday schedules don't clash.
(2) There could be situations in projects where you get to work with KEY stakeholders who are virtually located, and are only available intermittently, may be during monthly review meetings etc. Needs of thise KEY stakeholders on account of their religious belief (for example, stipulated prayer timing) is an area which shall form part of project management focus, maybe a miniscule focus with a personalized touch.
(3) Some places prohibit people from practicing certain religious belief. In those places, getting competent team members onboard is a challenge and can adversely affect your project management, in terms of resource mobilization. Saving Changes...
"Impartial observers from other planets would consider ours an utterly bizarre enclave if it were populated by birds, defined as flying animals, that nevertheless rarely or never actually flew. They would also be perplexed if they encountered in our seas, lakes, rivers and ponds, creatures defined as swimmers that never did any swimming. But they would be even more surprised to encounter a species defined as a thinking animal if, in fact, the creature very rarely indulged in actual thinking."
