Hi Juan Gabriel,
I use often the seven basic quality tools especially :
- Pareto diagrams in order to separate the vital few from the useful many
- Scatter diagrams to check for correlation
- Ishikawa diagrams when searching for a cause
- Histograms to check distributions
- Control charts for process control
Also I use design of experiments (DOE) when I want to check for interactions between factors

Juan -

Inspection using checklists, test cases or similar artifacts would be the most common tools of QC I've done.

Audits against a set of control objectives and tracking quality targets against actuals would be the most common tools of QA.
