New generation thinks, decides and works differently. How ready is your organization for them?
For example, I noticed the younger generation which will enter the workforce in a few years, finds the answer to their questions in a different way. They are more relied on social media and crowd thinking. When I have a question, I ask the experts that I trust or I google and pay attention to the source that I am getting the information from. But I noticed the first thing many youngsters do these days is they post their question to a social media and pick an answer from the many responses. And yes, sometimes it is the wrong answer!

While there are some behaviors which are associated with the stereotypical millennial, we have to remember that just as there were behaviors associated with Gen X, Baby Boomers and other generations, every person is an individual and we shouldn't let these stereotypes drive our response to them.
While the stereotypical millennial's 24x7 need for connectivity, lack of buy-in to the rationale for "paying your dues" and so on might be irritating to those of us from previous generations, the value they place on sustainability, diversity and creativity are good examples which we could all learn from.
Totally agree and didn't mean to negatively criticize the newcomers to the workforce. Just wanted to acknowledge the differences and give some thought to what are the other differences. Saving Changes...

I think the use of social media will ultimately lead to new business models, processes and products. However, there are still many questions about how new generations use of social media will influence individual, and organizations in different contexts. Saving Changes...

While I am happy to read things like Kiron stated above I will say that nothing new below the sun. I was part of a "new generation" long time ago and I am working with new generations from long time ago up to date leading groups including they belongs to different countries and cultures. The invention Internet has the same effect that the invention of printer press. The only thing that people has to avoid is do not enter to "The Matrix" because what they see is data but not information most of the times, At the end, when you see what new generation request is the same that ancient people like me and other people that came after requested. Nothing new below the sun. Saving Changes...

What is sad to see is some consulting firms including some PMI referents using stereotypes as Kiron said trying to sell something to organizations. The impact is the creation of lot of confusion and wasted effort and money. Saving Changes...
Like most social phenomena, there will be adopters and detractors. In my views it's generation Z (or whatever the name will end up being) that will make the biggest impact in the future since they are the only generation born 100% in the Internet age, and become "internetized" from the time they can walk, or even earlier. They won't (I hope) have some of the, um how to I put it, pandering issues associated with many Millennials, and be able to think individually moreso than follow the latest social dogma or so called norms. Having children from Generation Y, Millennials and Generaion Z, I feel I am qualified to at least have an opinion ;-) Saving Changes...

2 things come to mind..
Even though the new generations come, there still will be cultural differences and slowness to changes.
Risks need to be evaluated even though they get new ideas on table(some may be wrong or decisions with no experience) Saving Changes...
