PMI (Agile Certified Practitioner) vs EXIN (Agile Scrum Master)? i need your advice!

Hi,
Kindly i need your advice about what is the most important certificate in the above two certificates, from your experience and point of view.

The two exams cannot really be compared. The ASM is about Scrum and is focused on the Scrum Master role. It does have more elements of Agile in it compared to other Scrum certifications, but the important thing to remember is this is a Scrum certification.

The PMI-ACP is a more comprehensive certification and exam. It goes into more depth about Agile and is in my view the premier Agile certification.

If you want to be a Scrum Master, go for the ASM. If you want to be an Agile practitioner and be recognized as an expert (with appropriate experience) and with a global certification, then go for the PMI-ACP.

If your goals are to be an SM, then go that route. If you are looking for general overall Agile designation, go for the ACP. Determine your path and the best road to support it. Also to note, the ACP requires an application process and standards similar to PMP. That may play a factor in your decision making as well.

I'd suggest checking the job postings for the types of roles you aspire to in the locale that you wish to work and let that guide your decision.

When it comes to agile credentials, I'm finding that most folks (myself included) are preferring to go with more than one credential. You might also look at combining a project-level credential with an agile scaling level one...

ACP makes you more versatile as it covers a wider spectrum and ASM is specific to Scrum.
It depends what suits your present or future role.

Each time I decide to invest time and effort to earn a certification (time is the most valuable for me because is not way to buy it) I made my personal estimation about future market demands. The certifications you are asking form are not matter of comparison. PMI-ACP is a generalist certification. EXIN ASM is a especific certification (Scrum oriented).

This post is similar to some of the earlier ones on this discussion.

I understand that you're asking which is "most important" -- PMI's Agile Certified Practitioner or EXIN Agile Scrum Master certification. A particular certification may (or may not) stand out as best for you depending on exactly why you want or need the certification.

For example, if someone is looking for one with market/workplace recognition (among other reasons) it seems to vary depending on where your employer calls home. In the US, job postings including an agile certification requirement often specify the Certified ScrumMaster by Scrum Alliance.

I believe the different agile certifications carry value. Which one is "most important" or best for you depends on your specific needs--including exactly why you want the certification.
