Can any one help by explaining consequences and purposes of "approved change requests" as an input to processes like Dir. & Man PW, Control Quality and Control Procurement?

The Direct and Manage Project Work is the primary function of the project manager. During the course of the project, there will be changes that need to occur for a variety of reasons. Once they are approved, they need to be implemented by the project team.

The reason why Approved Change Requests feed into Control Quality is because you need to verify that the approved change requests were in fact implemented, and more importantly, implemented correctly.

The reason why Approved Change Requests feed into Control Procurements is simply because that approved change request might be a change to a contract, or any number of procurement documents such as T&C's, pricing, and even deliverables.

Remember that PMBOK and PMBOK Guide does not prescribe to a method then there is not flow inside them. The flow will depends on your project life cycle. Control Quality is an activity to validate is deliverables addressed the requirements. If after control quality deliverables does not address the requirements then a change request must be created. After the deliverable is fixed then you have to perform control quality again on the deliverable. In this case you have to validate the fix with the source of the fix (the change request). Control Procurement is the same but on procurement documents.
