Advantages of multiple certifications?

What are the advantages if we have multiple certifications? is having multiple certifications
(the same domain) are good for personal career development?

I agree with the comments here. Personally it depends on the industry, demand, and availability of time. It's not just the certifications but experience is also important.

It is a personal decision. I believe that it should be the combination of knowledge, experience, passion, accreditation, dedication.

I think it depends on what you, your current employer or future employer want. I am preparing for the ITIL Foundation Certification because we recently had a title change to Senior Tech-Vendor Management (same work). The next level requires that certification to even be considered. So here I go again.

I think everything in line with my thought as been said.
It's a personal decision and you should take in consideration the environment/industry you are involved in. If it brings you an advantadge it makes sense to go forward with multiple certifications.
If not, you can take Jim's advice: challenge yourself in something you are not so good at.
