Rajamanickam -

It really depends on the industry & geographic locale. For example, some postings for agile PMs reference the CSM and SAFe credentials together as the expectation is that the candidate should have knowledge of both basic Scrum and scaled agile.

My recommendation is to speak to peers in the types of roles you are aspiring to, check job postings and then decide. While it is nice having multiple letters after ones name, the one-time and ongoing costs (financial & time) may not justify the benefits.

As Kiron says, it really depends. What direction do you want your career to go in? What will get hiring managers attention? After I became I PMP, I noticed that every job I looked at wanted Agile managers. So I decided to get an Agile certification.
When developing your career experience probably it the most important factor. But showing the commitment to obtain the proper certifications may be the one thing that will set you above others when competing for a new position.

Each time I decided to start the process to earn a certification I made my own estimation about future market demands. Then, I went for it.

It depends on your employers, industry and type of projects you manage. It varies from one to another but on a personal level, I would assume it is good for personal development purposes.

Rajamanickam - All the replies above give you good advice. At a PMI Global Congress a few years ago, the keynote speaker said something to the effect, "To advance your career, you have to stop doing what you do best; it's holding you back." At first, I was shocked. Then I thought about my career. Over the years I've stopped doing many professional career activities, in order to expand my abilities and accept new opportunities. I won't list all the sets of initials that have been on my business cards; I'll just tell you, the list is more than a handful. Good luck in your career. Jim

Rajamanickam,

It is your context employer, industry, local views, what does it add? How much time you are willing to spend ?

In the absence of requirements from outside, how much we are spending our time is the real decision. Am I correct?
