If I earn PDUs without PMP certification? Is it considered valid?

PDU mean Professional Development Units. So, if you do not have a professional certification from the PMI you can not apply the PDUs. I mean, nothing exists to apply the PDUs.

To add to Sergio's response, if you have taken courses prior to getting a PMI credential, you cannot retroactively claim those PDUs once you earn the credential. However, those hours may be eligible towards the prerequisites for the credential application.

If you do not have a certification, you can earn PDU's but they won't be valid or counted towards anything because you won't have a CCRS Dashboard.
