Project Portfolio Inventory examples

Hello,

I have dug through Google with little luck or leads. Does anyone have or know where I can find templates or examples of project inventories? I'm researching what fields are appropriate for tracking IT projects in a project portfolio.

Hi Ed,

Have you looked at Processes On Demand by BOT International? We use it in our PMO for our processes, templates, and project portfolio dashboarding. Provided are customizable portfolio tracking dashboards such as Overall Status, Gantt, Cost, and Risk dashboards. From the BOT site, you can request a information, a demo, or a guest login to their demonstration system.

Hi Ed,

Whenever I'm not sure what I should include on a project artifact, I ask myself what I'm trying to answer by creating the artifact. So, for example - you what a project inventory list but why do you want the list? So you can quickly identify project status', high level or triggered risks, issues that impact the critical path, on budget or not, etc?
