Is anyone else on here managing GDPR projects? (General Data Protection Regulations)
I'd love to connect with some other project managers going through the same challenges!

I was. Just in case you think I can help with my comments I prefer you post your questions here to share knowledge and to learn from other comments. No matter others have participated in this type of projects helps me a lot to read comments about some project management topics that will be included.

Good question! The organization I was previously with had significant GDPR projects of which our team was involved. We did not own the project but had efforts associated for dependencies.

I will second Sergio's suggestion/request. Though I'm not involved in anything GDPR related, it is very interesting and would be interested in hearing more about related projects.

Me and my team are in the process of writing some documents and policies for GP practice managers, and we've just written a GDPR training course for medical and non-medical businesses.

Survindar, is that internal material or do you intend to publish your training as a paid-for product?

We have a training course that is available for clinical and business customers, and we're releasing some templates and documents for subscribers over the next few weeks. IT's been a royal pain in the neck because there's so little being released by the NHS so we've been researching, interviewing, calling anyone and everyone for advice for what seems like forever, but we're confident we've got some good documentation and our GDPR course has had some good feedback.

I don't have any particular issues apart from the overwhelming feeling of picking up a new project and all that entails! I have come late to the project team and I have a lot to learn. It's just nice to know that other project managers are working on similar things and that I'll get there eventually!

I tried to post a link but the administration told me off.. ??
If you search for Thornfields training, you can see the course details - we wrote a version for primary care training, but we've had more requests for the business version.
The NHS have been really slow to release anything, and I got more than 30 enquiries for what our FPM site was going to publish on GDPR compliance (that's part of our group of products, compliance for HR, health & safety, cqc), so I and my team are working on getting a toolkit, policies, protocols, checklists and other stuff for our paying members, along with some stripped down versions as free downloads.
GDPR is basically leaving me cream-crackered..!

Elizabeth,

if your client is in the financial services space, I might be able to connect you with one of the AVPs from my previous employer (TD Bank) who was leading a GDPR program.

Let me know...
