What types of retrospective techniques do you use in your team as they adopt the Scrum framework? Do you have any favorites?

Give them drawing or modeling supplies and have them use those to illustrate what worked well and what didn't.

I am looking for more active participation from all the members in the team in retrospective. I tried some of the ideas like

4L's,
Stop, Start, Continue

Want to understand from other Scrum Masters on the techniques they use to avoid making the retrospective meetings monotonous.

Appreciate your response

None. We made continue improvement instead of retrospective. It works better for us to gain in time.

Yes I understand that continuous improvement will always help but to arrive at the points and areas of improvement we need to retrospect right?
