Trying to get a sense of what process mapping tools/ software are being/ have been used by folks out here. Would appreciate if you could please mention:
1. Tool name (visio, powerpoint, lucidchart, etc.)
2. Licence (individual, enterprise, team)
3. Pros/ cons/ experience with tool

thanks!

I use visio a lot - and sometimes a service catalog (in visio) is a better choice instead of flow diagram - depends on the business and services rather then processes they perform. NOt sure if this helps or not ...
we have an enterprise licence here at the College and a side from a bit of a learning curve there really is not much to adapting to using MS Visio.

Visio, individual. I use it just for the visual aspects of creating swimlane diagrams, value stream diagrams, etc. No real downside except it's not always part of a stakeholder's desktop application suite...

I normally use visio and we have the enterprise license.
I think it's easy to align objects, and if necessary it will automatically expand the diagram to another page. The cons is that when you want to transfer your diagram into a different program, the image doesn't always transfer exactly as it appears.

I have used Visio in the past (and present too!). I also use mind mapping software to create quick org, relationships, or hierarchies. MM is really great when you need to think quick, do it visually while listening to others with simple tabbing to create relationships.
