I am planning for PMP and at the same time, I am also interested in Lean six sigma and 6 sigma GB or BB. But, before proceeding further, I want to know
1. Is it mandatory to get ASQ certification on GB and BB? Or can do through any other associations/ institutes?
2. If I do GB and BB through other associates/ institutes, will it be accepted by companies?
3. Is it required to do GB before BB or directly can do BB?

ASQ and IASSC are probably the two most respected organizations for Green/Black Belt.
They have differences though. ASQ has a list of requirements for proving you worked with Lean Six Sigma IASSC does not.
In my case, I worked in a factory for years and worked on some Lean Six Sigma projects. Several years went by after I left the factory and I then decided it would be a good idea to get a Green Belt certificate. I met all the qualifications for the ASQ had I taken the test 5 years ago. I no longer knew a black belt to sign off on my work. The IASSC doesn't have the same requirements so I went that route.
Both exams are very difficult, don't try any PMI test and GB/BB at the same time. Personal opinion here: if you can qualify to get the ASQ then take the ASQ, If not, get the IASSC. Saving Changes...
I personally have my PMP and Six-sigma as people have said I think the ASQ is the gold standard just like the PMP. I did not get my six-sigma from ASQ but wanted to make sure they were from recognized institutions still as there is nothing stopping my from generating as six-sigma course and giving out belts but in reality if there are places that are endorsed and recognized by PMI, Microsoft and other large organizations often you could get your cert. for cheaper much of it is about ROI and if the six-sigma is complimentary evaluate if the ASQ route is worth it. While both are very valuable certifications on your resume, the most important reason to consider doing both is that Six Sigma and the PMP are very complimentary in practice. The skills you learn in each will benefit you in both areas.
Most projects involve some level of process management and most processes will require project management skills to improve. Having a skill-set that includes both allows you to be much more effective at each. Saving Changes...
A lot of companies have LSS Certification which is usually based on training, a test, and completion of a project or two projects for blackbelt achieving a certain level of cost savings. It has benefited me tremendously having both PMP and a Black Belt. Saving Changes...
