What is the best advice for a beginner PM?

Find a mentor is a valuable approach. As you discover the practical side of the job, don't hesitate to get in touch with project managers inside or outside your company. Discuss and learn from them.

Learn to look at the Big Picture . Try to see how the project fits into the overall business and fulfills the business objectives by listening to each of the stakeholders and their concerns
