Even though I believe the noise is less with face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings are necessary. If the travelling time is more than the meeting time, it does not worth to schedule a face-to-face meeting most of the time. If you insist on face to face meetings, it is mostly inefficient and results higher costs for the company. Mainly it creates demotivation and fatigue for employees. However there are certain circumstances I highly suggest face-to-face meetings despite the travelling time. Those circumstances might be important meetings such as making critical decisions, pre-contract stages between a customer and vendor for an important service or product, etc. Saving Changes...

All conditions being equal, in-Person meetings are preferable but the efficiency of online and virtual learning is the choice of many project managers and the choice for the future due to cost and time management. Saving Changes...

There is no match to face to face meetings but owing to virtual teams, time and expenses involved in getting people together and other commitments, virtual meetings are becoming the preference.

I prefer I person meetings if they make sense and the outcome makes it worth. In case the person is located at my site this should be always the way. If the person is not located on my site and I need to travel, the arguments decides which is the better way. Saving Changes...
