PRINCE2 I am reading about it and found it different from PMP methodologies having less processes and concern, I know it is not famous in North America mostly UK and Europe, I am not sure about Australia.
Any Input regarding this certification would highly be appreciated, As PMP certified can skip foundation and go directly for practitioner it worth to add it. What do you think? Saving Changes...
Just to emphasize what Sergio said: PMI does not offer a methodology. The PMBOK Guide recommends linking the process to a methodology.
PRINCE2 is a method.
So you can imagine they would be different.
Does it help to get the PRINCE2? I think Kiron answered this in line with my view.
As many probably know, my view on certifications. To excel in PM, certification is not a necessity; knowing how to apply the concepts is what is important. Sure, on a CV, many companies are looking for one certification or another as an entry point - so it is your choice. Saving Changes...
PRINCE2 will be of value if the industry and location you work in recognizes it and the company you work for or are targeting has adopted that methodology with the accompany nomenclature.
Otherwise, it's just one more credential...

@Kiron,
I guess it is well good knowledge even if the current company not using it as you mentioned more credentials and one day it might pays off to have that as well.
Some of the credentials I found they don't make big difference on the job search or they don't really increase your salary but they are still good challenge for self actualization. Do you agree?

Riyadh -
Given the costs of achieving and maintaining another PM credential, unless my company was willing to pay me to get it OR I felt it would make me more marketable, I don't know that I'd pursue one as it wouldn't really be addressing my calling or purpose, but what "rocks my world" isn't necessarily the same as for someone else, so go for it!
