It's a tough one Kevin. The new version will as you say be filled with a lot more things that will have currency longer than the current version. But then again it will also be a lot harder to pass for many. You need to toss the coin. Saving Changes...

Hey, if you're ready to sit the exam, go for it. The exam will not differentiate the earned certificate, so from that perspective, the result will be your PMI-ACP, regardless when you take it.
That said, knowledge is not restricted by the exam. You certainly can continue to read and learn from the most updated resources.
As the Exam Content Outline for the ACP is not changing, all that has happened is that exam items might be written using a couple of new sources (PMBOK Guide & Agile Practice Guide).
If anything, the release of the Practice Guide might simplify things as it consolidates a fair bit of knowledge which someone taking the current exam would still have needed to know but was not found in one place.
I found the ACP to be a fairly simple exam and don't believe it will get significantly more difficult so I think it comes down to your confidence in how quickly you can prepare and the availability of test dates/times at your local Prometric test center.

Kiron, is that correct that the PMI-ACP exam content outline won't be changing after the end of March? I was imagining a huge rewrite incorporating the new Agile guide with issues such as scaling.

Hello Sante -
Correct - PMI has not done a Role Delineation Study which Is the normal prerequisite for an ECO, hence they haven't updated it.
My assumption is that they will review all current exam questions to ensure they don't contradict anything in the Sixth Edition or the Practice Guide and have volunteers write a few more for each existing task in the existing domains based on content from the Sixth Edition and the Practice Guide.
