Hi, I am currently evaluating the available PM maturity models like OPM3, EFQM, CMMI, PAM, ProjectProof, P2MM, Mince2, P3M3 etc etc.
Does anybody have any experience with using Pm maturity in your organization? If so, is it worth the effort? Which obstacles did you encounter? Why did you choose for a specific model?
If no but you have considered using it, why did you abandon?
I hope to hear some comment of you, so I can add substantial experiences from the field.

We adopted CMMi in our software services company as we were a SEI-CMM company then and when software related standard, CMMi, evolved; doing the transition to CMMi was a logical choice. As a matter of fact, i am not well versed with any of the pother models you have mentioned. Let me know your findings, if you don't mind. ([email protected]) Saving Changes...
Jan, we would need to know the size of your organization, industry, maturity level today, budget, typical project size, culture, and level of executive commitment to properly assess your situation. CMMi or other PM approaches are designed for hard-core and large scale software organizations since these approaches add to your overhead costs. The central question you can ask yourself now is "what are my competitors and IT organizations of similar size, industry, and complexity doing now?" Saving Changes...

Jan,
Here is a good resource for further research on selecting an organizational project management maturity model appropriate to your needs http://www.pmforum.org/standards/matmatrix.htm. My gantthead colleague Mark Mulaly has also posted a good article on this topic (selecting the right PMMM for your organization) here at http://gantthead.com/content/articles/74350.cfm Saving Changes...
