Anyone familiar with Lean Six Sigma Yellow & Orange Belts ? What are some of the best globally accepted online certifications and providers for this certificate ?

I've gone through LSS YB, GB and BB training and have taught YB classes (in person).

If you are looking for a third-party provider or association, I'd suggest looking at ASQ.

Outside of that, the traditional approach to achieving these belts was through your own company. A company like Motorola or GE which institutionalized quality practices would usually have a quality CoE where they'd offer in-house training and would certify staff.

The orange belt is not as common as the others - ASQ doesn't appear to offer a certification tied to that. Also, for anything higher than YB, you do need to actually have experience working on or leading one or more process improvement projects using the LSS tools.

Kiron,

Thank You - Out of all areas, Six Sigma is probably the least I am familiar with although I worked in a lean environment but that's one side of the certifications.

I know ASQ is one of the best for those certifications but there are also APMG International & IASSC but those all require an in-person or an online proctor secured exam (You need to have a 360 camera). On the other hand, just like scrum.or, other companies offer those certification in a simpler and cheaper way like:

Six Sigma Institute - https://www.sixsigma-institute.org
Six Sigma Council - https://www.sixsigmacouncil.org/approved-providers/

Have you heard of them before and do you know how accredited those are ? I saw may people having certifications from Six Sigma Institute on LinkedIn.

I am interested only in White (Some companies offer white belt) and/or Yellow Belts for now that's all. I am not aiming for anything higher than YB at this point in time.

I have no knowledge of any third-party providers outside of ASQ. For YB, I'd say it would be hard to go wrong with almost any provider as the material covered is fairly basic and standardized.

At the GB and BB levels, the calibre of the training organization and the availability of mentorship to help you through your project and the eventual report out is key.

Good advice Kiron, something to think about if ever I want to strap on a GB.
