Family could be loved ones or friends too. And it could also be any role in the project management domain.

My family associates project management with running IT projects. One child in the family asked "is it fun"? I answered "Sometimes".

What does your family, friends or loved ones think of your chosen profession?

Interesting question, my family can't describe what I do! I used to be a teacher and that was easier to understand. In my current position, I mainly work on contracts, manage the website, and lead a few working groups. It isn't as exciting as being a classroom teacher, that's for sure!

Janice, most kids I would think feel that way. Perhaps because they see us sitting at the computer at home and we tell them we are working.

Mary, I imagine a teacher is the easiest job for a kid to understand. Maybe you could roll the teacher angle in by describing how you teach others to follow the project plan.

Which is a very important profession for society since it allows you to advance in new solutions to the problems
