It is better to give exam before March 28, if you have already prepared for the exam else you can give after March 28.

Dear BAMIDELE

If your are ready with the 5th Edition, I will advise to do so, because the change in the current exam it will be unknow for a while.

All the best

Bamidele - only you can answer that question :)

If you feel you are ready, take it. If not, wait. The certificate itself will be the same, no matter the version you take. Good luck and keep us all posted.

If you are ready then go for it. It is still achievable if you give it full shot

You should check if you are even able to find a time to schedule it. You may find that your testing center is booked up with people trying to take the test before the change date.
If you can find a time and feel you are prepared to do it.
If not, then take your time and prepare for the new exam.

Not a big difference dude! If you are confident do it at any time.

The consensus is if you are ready then sure sit the exam before the new version kick in.

Bamidele -

The only thing I'd add to everyone's feedback is that if you are unable to write it prior to the cutover due to either time you need to prepare OR unavailability of an exam time slot at nearby testing centers, then I'd recommend waiting till June so that some knowledge about the difficulty and nature of the changes becomes available.

Right now, all training providers (e.g. prep course, self-study guides, online practice exams) are just guessing as to what those changes will be...

If one is prepared with PMBOK ver.5 then s/he could take exam before the said timeline.
I advise so because going thru' full new PMBOK will take considerable time from exam point of view.
Also, knowing the pattern of questions in the new PMBOK will take some time.
So, if timeline is missed then one can think of taking exam in the second half of the year, as Kiron advised.

I scheduled mine for 21 March, before the cutover. I believe I can be ready to take it. My recent study has been based on the PMBOK V5, so I plan to get it out of the way.
