Looking for Career Advise

Milton Johnson Health Service Administrator| United States Air Force Bellevue, Ne, United States
I am looking to start a career on the civilian side at the end of this year, but I am unsure of what position I should be looking into applying for. I currently work as an Healthcare Administrator in the US Air Force and have worked in this career field for 8 years.

I have my Bachelors in Management-Healthcare and hold the PMI CAPM certification.

I am eligible to take the PMP at this time with my project experience throughout my career, but would really like some civilian sector experience in PM before applying.

I have also thought about doing other certifications such as the CompTIA Project+, Prince2Practioner, PMI-ACP, or the Scrum Master, but not sure how these will benefit me.

Looking for some career advice:

- Should I take the exam sooner to market myself for a job that way?
- What jobs should I be looking at for PM in the Healthcare industry?
- Is one of the mentioned certifications worth applying for before my transition?
- Any other certifications worth holding for Healthcare Admin?

Any advice would help!

I agree with what has been shared. Go for the PMP.
