As you know a project plan is a document. I am writting this because some people use project plan as a synonim of project schedule. Machine learning and AI is a boarder spectrum that can be applied inside multiple fields then the project plan will depends on it. At the end you must find the subject matter experrs to create the project plan. Remember: product/service/result scope define the project scope which is the basement for the project plan. The first one is in charge of business analyst. Just in case you will perform that role then you have to work on that at the very begining including it is a business analyst responsability to select the approach to create the solution.
