Being a project manager poses a lot of tactfulness and challenges as you go along the way, right? Haven't you encountered-boos of some kind even if you are already a seasoned project manager? One thing for sure, and it is still true, no one is perfect after all.

And in a global organisation where English is the common language work closely with the people who have English as a second or third language.

It is easy for meanings and subtleties to get lost in translation.

The most common mistake I have seen in my experience is watching PMs assume they know, rather than asking. Assumptions are dangerous, and almost always costly in terms of time and money. Additionally this erodes project team trust, and makes the current project and every project afterwards more difficult.

The biggest cause of failure is not having a clear and agreed objective. Followed closely by not having the right project team.
