Being a project manager poses a lot of tactfulness and challenges as you go along the way, right? Haven't you encountered-boos of some kind even if you are already a seasoned project manager? One thing for sure, and it is still true, no one is perfect after all.

The biggest mistake I have seen is not learning from one's mistakes (or popular mistakes from others).

Change management and scope creep remain a problem and if a PM is able to devote only part of their time to project management it is even more likely that requirements slip through the cracks or that changes aren't managed properly.

One common mistake I see is when PMs simply follow a template they found somewhere, without first editing it to meet the specific needs of the project.

Apart from the usual mistakes already mentioned one common mistake is not getting buy-in from team which escalates to a lack of ownership by team.
