How PMI validates that who all has got PMP/ applied for PMP, are having prior experience in Project Management? Also, the application selected for audit, will it not be good that PMI calls that person and ask questions before closing the application with review comment?

Sometimes they do which is why they ask for their contact details. I was audited and got through it fine.

As far as I know is a matter of thrust. PMI has confidence about people with not lie or will not make false witness.

Some people will be check with audits. Others will be trusted. There are for sure some who will cheat, but thats everywhere possible.
My honest oppinion is that, people who do not have the experience will have a hard life while studying for the exam.

I understand Kushal, when was audited, I was living and working in the Philippines and had to send documents to the US. Not only that, but two of my references lived in two different countries, and PMI wanted them to be mailed individually (nothing scanned) and their personally signed documents returned to me, and then all the mail along with my application sent to the US.

We're all professionals and are expected to act as such. And of course, lying on your application does not fit in the code of conduct either :)

When completing the application, do so as if expecting an audit. Contact referenced managers ahead of time to inform them. I was audited. It was extra effort, sure, but it was fine and relatively painless. PMI customer care was helpful as well when I had questions.

Hi Sante,

I thought my life was difficult :) The problem is cost. They charge insanely high amounts to send a ~130 gram parcel to USA from India

That's true, sorry to hear that. My issue was more about chasing people down that (in one case) I hadn't heard from in a few years.

PMI usually send a form having details (which you filled in the application) to be verified and can also ask your academic certificates to verify. I have never herd that they called someone on phone, although they can and can also contact via e-mail.
