Not easy to really pick one.. My favourites are Integration, Quality and Comms. It pretty much varies from project to project.
It also depends on the actual authority granted as a PM - can I really influence what I should manage? Sometimes this is unfortunately pretty tricky - especial when political games are played inside the organisation.

btw: Please feel free to still provide your quick vote on my poll on mobile device and PM tool usage - I still need two more replies to reach my target of 50 answers

Nico, I just tried to answer your poll and it's closed. I'd use the tools if I could find any that add value. Email on a smartphone does not add, it adds pressure to 24/7 connectivity. Said the man who remembers the first fax machine. ;-) Jim

Najam - I'm with you!

Risk management is my favorite which is why I did the PMI-RMP. It's one of the weakest practiced knowledge areas and yet I find it the most fascinating as it provides a good blend of technical practices with a healthy dose of soft skills.

I think the project go much more smoothly if we take some time to consider what we need to do and plan the path for doing it.
