Not really, because the information is also available online at PMI.

But I did learn something from reading it, and that was PDU's earned in the current cycle can only be applied to the next cycle if earned in the last 12 months of the current cycle. Given that I have already completed the PDU's for the current cycle which bring me up to middle 2020, any PDU's i earn from now until middle 2019 I guess won't count for the next cycle. Not that I won't do any PDU's until middle 2019, but why rush to collect PDU's when I can just do them at the end of 2019 and they will count for the cycle 2020-2023.

Giving back is very restricted;

You can earn a maximum of 25 PDUs under Giving Back to the Profession category. PDU restriction is a little more complicated than this, and as you read ahead in this guide, it will become easy to understand.

Technically, this means that you can aim for all of 60 PDUs in Education category alone. PMI also states that earning PDUs under Giving Back category is optional. But you will want to plan to spread PDUs between these two categories for your own developments and benefits.

So, if you are working as a project manager you can simply claim 8 PDUs!
Creating a content, giving a presentation, share knowledge and volunteer.
But your max is 25 PDU.

Quite a bit in 2017, actually.

The CCRS process was undergoing a change for all the pre-2015 certificate holders - and, as I was one, I was stuck in a limbo as to which procedure to follow to renew my PMP certificate.

One of my claims, for example, had been approved - but not all hours were applied to my 2014-2017 cycle (20 PDUs were carried forward to the next cycle).

The handbook really helped me in navigating the complex architecture of the CCRS.

I found CCR handbook presents the evidence we need to submit to claim different types of PDUs. I found this information is very much useful as I didn't find it anywhere else, though it might mention on the website where I didn't see yet.

CCR handbook is very useful and worthy to read.

I check, link, quote the CCR Handbook when there are questions in the community pertaining to PDU cycles, submission, allowance, criteria, etc.

Other than that, not much at all. Mainly just as a refresher/reminder.
