Dear all,

I would like to share my knowledge about the exam which could help.

Preparation Stage:

If you are in Preparation you have to keep at least two sources Including POMBOK Guide, I highly recommend Rita as the second resource,

POMBOK: it's exam itself, all the questions are coming from POMBOK Guide for that reason you have to understand POMBOK guide.

Rita: its understanding book you have a lot of explanation including information outside POMbok guide, Rita focus on understanding but it is not organized enough.

what have I done? I did read Rita's book for three times
first: a quick read
Second: I have read each chapter and solve chapter's exam
Third: I have taken general exams.

then you must be answering general exam's questions as much as you could there are a lot of sources on the internet free or paid.

If you are planning to purchase I highly recommend Prepcast exams it is fantastic.

I highly recommend group studying it is very useful for sharing knowledge and filling gaps

* Last week before Exam:
it is the right time to have a final revision and filling your gaps as you have taken much of exam's questions.

Important: Don't disturb your self by searching the internet for final, important, tricky exam questions " Most of them are fake and Commercial needs.

* Last Day before Exam:
Focusing on passing exam nothing else, give your self-positive energy and sleep well.

Wish for you all the best

All good advice thank you for sharing
I also highly recommend Rita. Also the last week before the exam you should do practice exams to prepare you for taking the exam. Also helps identify areas you may need more prep with. Pace yourself and make sure you read the questions carefully will sometimes have correct answers for different items, make sure what they are asking for.
Day of definitely stay positive, just took the exam and half way through was thinking of when I would retake the exam. Was almost surprised when the congratulations message came up and that I was well above target.

Good advise in this threat, thanks Hossam.

Just a slight thing: The PMBoK is NOT the source of all questions, though it has been safe until now to focus on PMBoK to learn in the past. Many other books are used by people who write the questions.

The real source of all questions in the PMP exam is the PMP Exam Content Outline (ECO). Until 1.7.2020 it is the ECO from 2015, after that the ECO from 2019.
You can download the ECO from PMI for free, it is not long but it can help as a checklist if you covered all knowledge needed for the exam.

Dear Hossam
Interesting tips left here
Thanks for sharing

I am convinced that each person has their own study method.

This method of study should be adopted once we understand how we learned

For example:
- I just studied at PMBOK Guide
- After studying a knowledge area answered exam questions about that knowledge area
- In the last week of study I only took exam tests (200 questions at a time) to familiarize myself with the type of questions and to gain pace.
- I recently discovered that this community, ProjectManagement.com has a lot of exam questions

When I did the practice exams my biggest problem was getting stuck on long and difficult questions.
I did then a three phase approach.
1. Phase: Go through all 200 question relatively quickly. If you don't know the answer quickly or the question is long move to the next question.
2. Phase: Do the long and difficult questions. If there are any you are not sure then skip them again.
3. Phase: Do the questions you did not know in the first two phases. If you are still not sure about the answer then just guess the answer. Some of them you probably get right:-) When I started phase 3 this I had 45 or 60 minutes left and I was relaxed.

The good thing about this approach you get all easy questions in the first phase and you probably won't stressed about time. I highly recommend to do at least 2 or 3 practice exams (200 questions in 4 hours) and practice the three phase approach.
It helped me a lot.
