Why are Project Manager emails are so long?

Long emails are easy to make, a short email takes n times more to do...

Short emails takes longer, so most PMs go for the shorter and less time consuming long email. Annoying?

In case some put many request in a single email. That make it much longer.

Experience tell me the when more then one thing is in a email, just one get answer.

Vincent - very interesting, your point of view shows that the email requester might have some blame in the email length as well.

What would you suggest in that case? braking down the lengthy email in sections?
